Where scheduled maintenance activates (such as Defrag, Backups, Anti virus update/scans or Patching) are performed after hours then add an additional scheduled power policy for these periods.
Another recommendation I would make is to enable computers to wake when a key is pressed or the mouse is moved. This can be done with the powecfg command.
Default Power Policy
Plugged In
Turn off Monitor : 20 min
Turn off Disk : 30 min
System Standby : 1 hour
System Hibernate : Never
Running on Batteries
Turn off Monitor : 20 min
Turn off Disk : 30 min
System Standby : 30 hour
System Hibernate : Never
Set the Dialog countdown interval (sec) = 60
Scheduled Power Policies
Create 5 scheduled power policies, one for each business day Monday to Friday, with the following settings:
Name : [Day Name]
Start Time : 7am
End Time : 7pm
Wake At Start : TRUE
At Period End : Standby Computer
Only Perform when no user is logged on : FALSE
